Description

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Enjoy a scenic drive across the Andean highlands toward Chinchero, one of the most picturesque and traditional villages in the region. Upon arrival at Chinchero, explore its rich culture and history. Visit the Inca archaeological site, featuring impressive agricultural terraces and stone walls. Enter the Colonial Church of Chinchero, built on ancient Inca foundations and decorated with beautiful murals. Stop at a local weaving cooperative, where Andean women demonstrate traditional alpaca wool weaving and natural dyeing techniques, a living art passed down through generations. Start your scenic downhill walk along an authentic Inca Trail, once used to connect highland communities with the Sacred Valley. Admire panoramic views of the Chicón and Pitusiray snow-capped mountains. Stop at natural viewpoints perfect for photos and observe how the landscape changes from Andean highlands to lush green farmland. Halfway through the hike, take a short detour to the beautiful Poc Poc Waterfall, an ideal spot to rest, enjoy a snack, and breathe in the pure mountain air. After about 4 hours of hiking, arrive at the peaceful village of Urquillos, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley. This fertile area is known for producing the largest corn in the world, grown with ancient Inca irrigation systems. Before returning to Cusco, stop in Urubamba, where you’ll have the chance to enjoy a traditional Andean lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, drive back to your hotel in Cusco, arriving in the afternoon with your camera full of photos and your heart full of unforgettable memories.
