Description

Visit the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu and the unique Rainbow Mountain in 2 days. Benefit from comfortable transportation for 2 days and discover 2 of the most precious places in Peru without interruptions. Day 1: Begin with early morning pickup from your hotel in the Historic Center of Cusco. Travel by bus to the town of Ollantaytambo, where you will board the train that will take you to the closest town to Machu Picchu, Aguas Calientes. Relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery throughout the journey. When you arrive at the Aguas Calientes train station, the representative of the activity provider will be waiting for you with a sign and your name to easily identify you. Feel the excitement and anticipation as you board the bus that will take you to Machu Picchu. Meet your guide at the entrance gate of Machu Picchu and embark on a guided exploration of this fascinating ancient city perched atop a rugged mountain. Take in the panoramic views around you and learn more about the fascinating and mysterious history of one of the world's great wonders. After about 3 hours in Macchu Pichu, return to Aguas Calientes to enjoy a tasty lunch. Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore the city of Aguas Calientes, before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by a bus transfer back to Cusco. You will arrive at approximately 8:30 p.m. Day 2: The next day, get up early again to be picked up at your hotel in Cusco. Travel south of Cusco by bus to the town of Tintinco, in the Cusipata district, where you will stop for breakfast. Arrive at the entrance point at the trailhead, and walk along the trail to Rainbow Mountain. Upon arrival, be amazed by the vibrant colors of the mountain, and learn a little about its formation from your guide. Enjoy free time to walk around and take some fantastic photos. After the excursion, return to the town of Tintinco to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in a picturesque restaurant. Relax on the return trip to Cusco, where we'll drop you off near the main square in the early afternoon.
