Description
The tour will begin with pickup from your hotel at 3:20 am. Then we head to the town of Chivay for approximately 3 hours. In this town we will enjoy a typical breakfast of the area. Then we will go to the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint, which is located 50 minutes from the town of Chivay. At this viewpoint we will spend an hour to contemplate the beautiful place of the Colca Canyon. We will also be able to observe the flight of condors, which are a predominant species in the skies of this Andean region. We will continue our route and head towards the viewpoints of Wayrapunko and Antahuilque to observe the hanging tombs and terraces from the pre-Inca and Inca times. The next stop will be the Chacapi thermal baths, where we will stay for about 45 minutes and you can enjoy its healing waters. There are also other options such as zip lining or kayaking, but at your own expense. Afterwards we will return to the town of Chivay to have lunch and continue with our tour; We will stop at the volcano viewpoints, from where you can see the Chila mountain range, the Sabancaya volcano and Pichu Pichu. We will also cross the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve and see the silhouettes of the Misti and Chachani volcanoes. From this point we will return to Arequipa, where the end of our excursion will be at approximately 6:00 pm.
