Description

Experience a tour ideal for those who have little time, but do not want to miss Machu Picchu, one of the most magical places in the world. Get a guided tour of the archeological site and free time to discover it on your own. Start your journey with pickup from hotels and hostels in the center of Cusco and head to Ollantaytambo to board the train. Enjoy a 2-hour train ride to the city of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, the guide with the names of each traveler will be waiting. Follow your guide to the bus station to board the bus to the citadel. Begin a 2-hour guided tour of the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu. After your tour, you will have free time to explore the site yourself. Later in the afternoon, take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will catch the train back to Ollantaytambo to finally take your last bus trip to Cusco.

Important Information

  • Please make sure to bring a valid passport on the day of your excursion. The hotel pick-up time depends on the confirmed departure time of the train, which could be at 4:00 AM or 6:00 AM. We will inform you of the hotel pick-up time a couple of days before the trip departure. Hotel pick-up service is available only for hotels in downtown Cuzco. The guided tour to Machu Picchu will last approximately 3 hours, with free time to enjoy Aguas Calientes before returning to Cuzco. Machu Picchu is regulated by the Peruvian government, so visitors can only stay within the citadel during the guided tour. Please note that, in compliance with regulations, you will not be allowed to re-enter the citadel once you exit. Due to new regulations in the purchase of Machu Picchu tickets, we want to inform you that, in case of cancellation of your reservation, the percentage corresponding to the entrance ticket cannot be refunded.
