This tour has been designed to showcase the history of Cusco, as well as providing insight into the past and present influence of the Inca culture. The day begins with pickup from your hotel and a shuttle bus ride to the top of the Sacsayhuaman Mountain where adventure awaits. Hop on your bike and begin the descent down the mountain, passing by a selection of idyllic viewpoints that offer sprawling city vistas. Arrive at the historic center of the city and embark on a tour through the narrow, picturesque streets. Discover the rich-cultural atmosphere of the neighborhoods that are steeped in history, boasting remains of the Inca era. Follow your guide through the city, passing by vibrant markets and bustling squares where you can see the locals going about their day. Visit a Spanish colonial temple, then stop by Almudena, the city’s very first cemetery which holds the secrets and stories of Cusco’s ancestors. Building work on the cemetery began in 1845 using rubble leftover from the Peruvian War of Independence.
