Description

Day 1: Cusco - km 104 - Aguas Calientes Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel. We will have a vehicle that will take us to the first checkpoint at kilometer 82 (Piscacucho). Then we will walk for approximately 2 hours until we reach Patallacta (2750 masl) which is an archaeological site and will be explained by our guide, then we will have our lunch prepared by a chef and his team. Then we will continue with our walk to the Huayllabamba camp (3000 m.s.n.m.). Here we will have our dinner and then we will rest and sleep. Day 2: Huyllabamba – Warmiwañusca – Pacaymayo: After breakfast, we are going to start the most difficult part of the trek, where we will walk to the highest point of the Inca Trail where you will have an incredible panoramic view of the entire area and you will be able to observe the different types of microclimates. After approximately 3 hours of walking, we will go through the pass called Warmiwañiusca (which means dead woman) at 4,200 meters above sea level. Once you achieve and reach the top. You will feel satisfied, after this fabulous experience we will have lunch and then we will continue descending until we reach Pacaymayo where we will have dinner and spend the night. Day 3: Pacaymayo – Puya patamarca – Wiñay Huayna: We will have our breakfast and then we will walk around 15 kilometers, the route has beautiful vegetation and archaeological sites of the Inca culture. The first is Runcurakay (3900 m.s.n.m.) which is shaped like towers, it was a strategic surveillance site for the eastern valley, then we continue to Chaquicocha where we will have a well-deserved lunch, then we continue to Phuyupatamarka (which means place above the clouds), on the way we will pass through a tunnel dug into the rock. Finally we will go to Wiñayhuayna, where we will spend the night. *The tour is 6 hours full of beautiful landscapes, and vegetation in Wiñayhuayna. (The third camp may vary to Phuyupatamarca depending on availability). Day 4: Wiñay Huayna – Machu Picchu – Cusco: We will get up early to have breakfast and then we will walk to Machu Pichu. We will go through the last control and we will walk to the Intipunku (which means gate of the sun) and then to Machu Picchu and you will have an impressive view of the majesty of this wonder of the world, we will have a guided tour of the place, visiting the most important sites from the ancient Inca city, you will have time to take more photos and explore the Archaeological site and from there return to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will have lunch and finally we will go to the train station to return to the town of Ollantaytambo and from there return to Cusco.
