Description
Pick-up from your hotel between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Once the entire group is assembled, we will head north. Our first stop will be Chinchero, a picturesque village where we can see agricultural terraces, the remains of the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui, and a beautiful colonial temple built on Inca foundations. We will also observe the entire process of wool, from washing and spinning to the creation of beautiful textiles. Continuing our tour, we will arrive at Moray, where we will see several natural depressions that served as agricultural experimental terraces. We will then proceed to the Maras Salt Mines, where we will witness the natural salt extraction process dating back to the Inca times. Next, we will visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions from jungle inhabitants. Afterward, we will head to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch. Following lunch, we will visit the Pisac Archaeological Complex in the town of Pisac, which was built during the reign of Inca Pachacuti. Its strategic location on top of a mountain provides a panoramic view of the entire valley leading to Antisuyo. At the end of the tour, we will return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 p.m.Includes
