Description

Embark on a full-day adventure from Iquitos and explore the Amazon rainforest. Take a boat ride along the Nanay and Momón rivers, walk on a hanging bridge, and visit a Bora tribe. See snakes and other animals at the Serpentarium Rescue Center and enjoy a delicious lunch. Start your day with pickup from your hotel in downtown Iquitos and head to the Bellavista Nanay River Port. Board a boat that will take you along the Nanay River before venturing into the waters of the Momón River. As you navigate, be captivated by the breathtaking scenery, where the Amazon rainforest unfolds in all its splendor, with lush vegetation and vibrant wildlife accompanying you throughout the journey. Further ahead, a unique experience awaits at the Hanging Bridge. Walk 30 meters above the ground among the treetops, crossing three suspended walkways with a total length of 140 meters. From this height, the view of the jungle is simply spectacular, offering a one-of-a-kind perspective of the Amazon’s flora and fauna. If you’re seeking more excitement, the adventure continues with an adrenaline-pumping activity: the Zip line. Dare to launch yourself from a suspended platform and glide between the trees at a height of 30 meters. This 80-meter ride will make you feel the thrill of speed and the freedom of soaring through the heart of the Amazon—a must-do experience for adventure lovers. Next, immerse yourself in the ancestral culture of the region with a visit to the native Bora tribe. Here, learn about their way of life, history, and traditions, passed down through generations. Have the chance to witness their traditional dances, listen to their stories, and admire their handcrafted artwork—unique pieces you can take home as a meaningful souvenir of this authentic connection to the Amazon’s heritage. The journey continues with a stop at the “Serpentarium” Rescue Center, a natural sanctuary where you’ll get up close to some of the most impressive and feared snakes of the jungle. Learn about their behavior and ecological importance, along with other exotic species such as the prehistoric “Mata Mata” turtle and many other fascinating inhabitants of the Amazon. To recharge after so many unforgettable experiences, enjoy a delicious à la carte lunch at a local restaurant, where you’ll savor the unique flavors of Amazonian cuisine (drinks not included). Finally, return to the city of Iquitos, dropping you off at the final meeting point, just one block from Iquitos’ Plaza de Armas.
