From there you will be taken by a boat to the famous Chuncho Clay Lick in the Tambopata National Reserve, where you will have the opportunity to see hundreds of macaws such as the Scarlette macaw and the large blue and yellow macaw. Your guide will tell you all about each specie their habitat, including their lifestyle and how they spend their days. You will be able to take marvelous colorful pictures, and following your macaw viewing you will enjoy a delicious breakfast on the boat before heading to the stream to observe the shores of the Tambopata River. Whilst there you can search for more wildlife, which includes jaguars, capybaras, tapirs, and caimans. After a few hours you will arrive to the Port of Filadelfia, where you will be taken to an Amazonian lodge to rest for a while and savor lunch. From there you will return to Puerto Maldonado to cruise down a different river called Madre de Dios to reach your lodge. Once you have accommodated yourself comfortably in the lodge, a nice dinner will be awaiting you. The next day you will visit Sandoval Lake, which is located in the heart of the Tambopata National Reserve. Your day will begin with a nice walk of about 3 kilometers until you reach the lake which you will navigate with a dugout canoe. As you travel you will learn about the area's ecosystem, and with some luck you will have the chance to see 4 different types of monkeys, black caimáns, birds, and giant otters.
