Description

Day 1 of the Short Inca Trail begins with a drive from Cusco to Ollantaytambo, followed by a train to Km 104 to start the hike. Visit Chachabamba to see ancient Inca water worship sites, hike to Wiñay Wayna's impressive terraces, enjoy lunch, and proceed to Inti Punku for the first view of Machu Picchu before descending to Aguas Calientes for the night. On Day 2, rise early for a bus ride from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu to catch the sunrise. Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour and free time to explore the ruins. Return by bus to Aguas Calientes, then take a train to Ollantaytambo, and drive back to Cusco, ending the Short Inca Trail trek.

Pre-briefing time at 19hrs in our office 1 or 2 days before your date departure. Private transfer from your hotel in Cusco to train station. Tourist train from Ollantaytambo to km. 104 at 7hrs 45. Collective tourist transfers from the train station in Ollantaytambo to the hotels in the Sacred Valley or Cusco City. Tourist bus 1 way between Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes(first Day). Tourist bus 1 way between Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu(second Day). Entrance fee to the Inca trail and Machu Picchu. Professional bilingual guide (Spanish and English).
