Description

1. Early Departure from Cusco – 3:00 a.m. Your adventure begins with a pickup at 3:00 a.m. from Plazoleta Regocijo. From there, we begin a scenic 5-hour drive toward the community of Phinaya, crossing some of the most impressive landscapes of the Andean highlands. 2. Arrival in Phinaya & Hike to the Quelccaya Glacier Upon arrival in Phinaya, you will enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast. We then continue by vehicle for approximately 1 hour until reaching the foothills of the Quelccaya Glacier, the largest tropical glacier in the world. From this point, we start a gentle 15-minute hike to reach the glacier. Here, you will explore suspended ice formations, natural blue ice caves, and breathtaking snowy structures — a truly unique experience in the Andes. ️ 3. Lunch & Visit to Sibinacocha Lagoon After the glacier visit, we return to Phinaya for a delicious Andean lunch. We then board the transport again to begin the return journey toward Cusco, making a stop at the stunning Sibinacocha Lagoon, one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in the Andean region. 4. Return to Cusco – 9:00 p.m. We conclude the experience with an evening arrival back in Cusco at approximately 9:00 p.m.
