There is no doubt the therapeutic pools are amazing. The spa itself is nice locker room waiting area relax area all amazing. Can't say the same for the massage experience. The masseuse staff need more training or get better massage certification. But overall I like the place. Needs a better job getting better masseuse. I get massages twice a month and I know the difference on experience. I will still go there being a Marriott member over 20 years.
I treated myself to a spa day for the "Heavenly Spa" package which was the 50 minutes in the thermal pools and a 50 minuto massage. It was great and well worth it.. I had Fany who brought me to the pools and then gave me a massage. The massage wass sooo good!!! I highly recommend her. Also the place was very beautiful and at the end they let you finish in a nice sanctuary room with a tea which was a nice little unexpected treat/experience 🙂 I will be back, thank you!
I tried the 90 minute thermal circuit experience but ended an hour early due to dissatisfaction. I booked a later time on a Sunday (8pm) and was glad that there weren’t many other guests at that time. However, a fellow guest would not stop using his phone despite clear rules about devices being prohibited, and even made a few phone calls. Spa staff were not present most of my time there and even when one or two were around did not help reinforce the rule — ultimately I felt too uncomfortable to continue the experience. Thankfully the staff at front desk as well as my attendant were understanding and apologetic, even prorating my experience charge to reflect the shorter visit. A more alarming note is that the spa facilities are showing significant wear and tear. There is visible mold near the cold plunge pool, the water smells funky, and the steam sauna also smells funny and the tiles feel slimy, all in all severely detracting from the luxury reputation that both the spa and hotel are supposedly upholding. Some renovations and deep cleaning/sanitization would greatly remedy this problem!
