Description
Discover one of Peru's most impressive archaeological complexes on a full-day excursion from Chachapoyas. Travel to the monumental fortress of Kuélap and learn about the legacy of the Chachapoya culture while enjoying spectacular Andean landscapes.
The experience begins with transport from Chachapoyas to the district of Nuevo Tingo. From there, you'll board the modern cable car system that provides convenient access to the archaeological area while you enjoy breathtaking views of the region's valleys and mountains.
Upon arrival at the Parador La Malca, you'll begin a walk of approximately 30 minutes to the entrance of Kuélap, considered one of the most important pre-Hispanic constructions in South America.
During the guided visit, you'll tour the interior of the fortress and learn about the history of the Chachapoya culture, famous for developing complex settlements in the mountains of northern Peru.
