Description

Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco and set off on a journey toward the province of Canas. Halfway through the route, stop in the province of Acomayo to admire the Four Lagoons Circuit: Pomacanchi, Acopia, Asnaqocha, and Pampamarca. Continue your journey to the district of Canas, where the Qeswachaka Bridge is located, the last remaining Inca rope bridge in the world. Entirely handcrafted with braided ichu grass fibers, this bridge is approximately 30 meters long and represents the pinnacle of ancestral Andean engineering. It is renewed every year in June by four local communities using traditional techniques passed down through generations. During the visit, cross the bridge twice while enjoying breathtaking views of the Apurímac Canyon and capturing unforgettable photographs. Your guide will share the history and cultural significance of this living heritage, allowing you to connect with the Inca tradition that continues to thrive among the communities of this remote province. After the visit, transfer to a local restaurant to enjoy a nutritious lunch before beginning the return journey to Cusco.
