Your adventure begins with a 3:50 AM pick-up from downtown Cusco hotels. Travel to Ollantaytambo train station for a scenic 2-hour ride to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, board a bus that will take you to the entrance of Machu Picchu, where a guide will lead you on a 2-hour tour of this iconic archaeological site.
Explore the ancient ruins and discover their history and significance. Tour the agricultural terraces, the Temple of the Sun and the Sacred Rock on this classic route. After the guided tour, enjoy free time to explore Machu Picchu at your own pace, take photos, admire the breathtaking views or simply soak up the atmosphere of the place.
Return to Aguas Calientes by bus, where you can have lunch before taking the train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, you will have a transfer back to a central point in Cusco.
