Description
To kick off the Cusco City Tour, we'll first pick you up at your hotel and then head to our first stop, before our guide gives you a detailed explanation of the tour. We'll start by visiting Qoricancha, one of the most important religious centers of its time. Inside, you'll see some finely carved sacred Inca enclosures. We'll also head to Sacsayhuamán, where you'll see stone walls of exorbitant dimensions and great tonnage, forming three huge terraces one on top of the other.
We'll also visit Qenqo, a highly religious place with altars inside the caves. Continuing with the tour, we'll stop at Puka Pukara and finally visit Tambomachay, an important area in the Inca period with the presence of sacred water sources. Basically, it's a system of water channels that collects water from deep within the mountains.
Finally, we'll wrap up the tour and head back to the city of Cusco.
