Description
Begin your journey with a pickup from your Cusco hotel and a transfer to Ayllu Hanchipacha (a community in the Andes). There, you'll greet the first rays of sunlight and enjoy a breakfast with vegetarian options surrounded by mountains before preparing for your adventure.
A certified bilingual guide will give you a safety briefing and instructions on how to operate the quad bike to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Drive your individual quad bike for approximately two hours along high-altitude trails surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. As you traverse open plains and rugged paths, you may encounter llamas and alpacas grazing freely in their natural habitat. With each passing minute, you'll get closer to the sacred mountains (apus) of the Andes.
After the quad bike tour, leave the vehicles behind and embark on a moderately challenging 50-minute hike towards the Apu viewpoints and the stunning turquoise lakes formed by glacial meltwater. For those who prefer a little extra assistance, horses are available on-site (optional). Upon reaching the destination, take your time. There, we'll have some time to understand the connection with the Apus (mountain spirits) and the way of life of the local people. This explanation will be provided by our guide.
After understanding and connecting with the Apus, there will be time for photos and videos with the guide's help and suggestions. You'll then return by quad bike to the base point, where a traditional Andean buffet lunch will be waiting for you. After lunch, relax during the return trip to Cusco, where you'll arrive approximately between 4:00 and 4:30 PM, depending on weather and road conditions.
