Begin your full-day tour of the Sacred Valley with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Travel north to Chinchero, a traditional Andean village known as the birthplace of Andean textiles. Visit the Chinchero archaeological site and explore a colonial church built over Inca foundations. Experience a live textile demonstration using ancestral weaving techniques. Next, visit Moray, one of the most unique Inca sites in the Sacred Valley. See the circular terraces with different microclimates, used for agricultural experimentation and crop adaptation. Continue to the impressive Maras Salt Mines, featuring over 3,000 salt pools. Learn how they have been managed by local families since pre-Inca times and see the natural salt springs from Qoripujio (Golden Spring). Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley, with traditional Peruvian cuisine and vegetarian options available.
