Description
After pick-up from your hotel in Puno at 06:45 AM you will be taken to the local pier to start the trip by kayak to the floating islands. Before embarking you will be informed about all the security instructions for the activity by the local instructor. Then set off to explore Lake Titicaca in a different way, viewing the local flora and fauna (flamingos, ducks, greeve, coots) up close. All the information will be provided by the local guide. Upon your arrival at the floating islands the guide will tell stories about their origins and the way floating islands are created from reeds by this amazing tribe. You will have leisure time to explore the island on your own and take pictures. Now continue by covered motor-boat to Taquile island to enjoy fantastic views of the lake and the Bolivian Andes. Take a hiking tour of the island and meet with local people known as 'Taquileños' and discover their textile art. Learn about this tribe from the local tour guide before you enjoy a delicious lunch on the island prepared with local products. Return to Puno city for 16:30 PM where you will be transfered to your hotel.Includes

- Kayaks are closed with no risk of getting wet (no necessary waterproof clothes)
- The lakes waters are guaranteed to be calm
- The name of your hotel in Puno city is required to contact you the night before
