Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Arequipa. Head to the Salinas Lagoon, stopping at the Chiguata viewpoint to admire pre-Inca terraces and panoramic views of the Misti, Chachani, and Pichupichu volcanoes. Continue to the Queñuas forest at 3,800 meters, where you'll enjoy stunning views of the volcanoes and the beautiful trees that grow at high altitudes. Stop at Cerro El Simbral for a breathtaking view of the city of Arequipa. Arrive at Salinas around 8:00 AM and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Afterward, take a walk to observe South American camelids like llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos. Visit a place with hot springs and take a walk around the lagoon, surrounded by salt and its water mirrors. Enjoy the Salinas Lagoon viewpoint for beautiful photos of the area. Spend 2 to 2.5 hours at the lagoon before returning to Arequipa. Upon arrival, take a short walk through the historic center of Arequipa, admiring its colonial streets and the beauty of the Plaza de Armas.
