La Calera

La Calera

Las aguas termales de La Calera se encuentran en el Valle del Colca, a pocos minutos de Chivay. Este balneario es buscado por los visitantes después de viajes y caminatas por el Cañón del Colca debido a sus propiedades de reposición de energía. Sus aguas de 85 °C (185 °F) provienen del volcán Cotalluni y contienen minerales como el azufre y el hierro, fantásticos para el tratamiento de la artritis y el reumatismo.
 
El complejo cuenta con cinco espaciosas y limpias piscinas, así como un pequeño museo etnográfico.

  • Ubicación: A 3,5 km de Chivay, Arequipa (2.575 msnm) 
  • Acceso por tierra: Hay autobuses de Arequipa a Chivay. El viaje dura unas 3 horas. Desde Chivay hay transporte público hasta La Calera.
