El Callejón de Huaylas, y las ciudades de Huaraz y Carhauz en particular, contiene varias zonas desde las que se puede iniciar un vuelo en ala delta y parapente. Pero el lugar más conocido es el monte Yungay Pan de Azúcar. Desde el aire se puede apreciar mejor el contraste de la Cordillera Negra con la Cordillera Blanca, donde se encuentra el pico Huascarán.

- Willcacocha (vuelo térmico, aterrizaje cerca de la ciudad de Santa Cruz)
