Cordillera de Vicabamba

Situada entre los ríos Urubamba y Apurímac, la cadena montañosa se extiende a lo largo de 100 km. Los picos nevados del Salkantay y el Huamantay, de más de 6.000 metros (19.685 pies) de altura, son increíbles. La abrupta geografía de la cordillera está dividida por hermosos cañones y cubre el Santuario Nacional Ampay, un refugio para una extensa variedad de flora y fauna.
