Saw The Amity Affliction here and coming from some of their bigger shows, this smaller venue was awesome! Also, table service drinks at a metal concert.... Hell yeah 🤘
It’s a pleasant, well-organized, and spacious venue. The stage is perfect for watching your favorite band perform, and it’s air-conditioned, so the heat won’t stop you from having a good time. I give it 4 stars, and the star I’m deducting is because there are several “No Smoking” signs on the premises, which are often ignored even by the staff themselves, since they usually light cigarettes for those who don’t respect the sign. Otherwise, very well done—keep it up...
Yield is tucked beneath Plaza San Martín. It's a place that gets the basics right. It’s big enough to breathe, though it runs hot in summer. Peruvian beer and bottled water are cheap. They take Visa. The bathrooms stay clean all night, soap and toilet paper included, which shouldn’t be remarkable, but in Lima it is. The sound was excellent. The stage is set at the right height, so everyone can see the bands, no matter where they’re standing. Most important of all, I felt safe. I arrived by Uber and left the same way, and the security team waited with me until my ride showed up at 2:45am. I went to Yield for the Sunflower Indie Fest in January and I'm excited to go back soon.
