We went to El Gato Vitoreño based on recommendations for their shrimp dishes, but unfortunately they were not available that day. As a result, we ordered arroz con mariscos, ceviche, and fried fish instead. The atmosphere is beautiful. One of the nicest parts is eating outdoors while you can see the train passing by. However, the service was very slow. We waited more than an hour for our food, and considering the high expectations from the recommendations, it was disappointing. The seafood dishes were not very good; for fish and seafood we would rate it a 5 out of 10. The prices are on the higher side. I would be willing to return to try their shrimp dishes and see if that makes a difference, but based on this visit, the food did not fully meet expectations.
