Hotel pick-up and a cruise on Lake Titicaca The adventure kicks off with a pick-up from your hotel in downtown Puno at 9:00 a.m. We'll head to the port to board our boat and start sailing on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. During the trip, the guide will share information about the history, culture, and natural environment of the lake. Check out the Uros' floating island After about 30 minutes of sailing, you'll arrive at the floating island of the Uros. Here you'll meet local families who've kept their traditions alive for generations. You can interact with the villagers, learn how they build their islands with totora, and get to know their daily lifestyle. TOTORA RAFT RIDE AND FREE TIME We'll continue with a ride on a traditional totora raft to a second floating island. Here, you'll have some free time to relax, take photos, and enjoy the unique landscape of Lake Titicaca. LOCAL LUNCH WITH A URO FAMILY A local family will prepare lunch, where you can taste typical local food, such as grilled trout, made with fresh ingredients from the lake. This culinary experience will let you learn more about the culture and hospitality of the Uros. TRADITIONAL FISHING EXPERIENCE To round off the tour, a Uros villager will take you on a fishing boat to a special area of the lake, where you'll participate in a traditional net fishing experience. This activity is a unique opportunity to learn an ancient practice that's an essential part of their way of life. Back to Puno At the end of the experience, we'll head back to the port of Kalapajra and then to your hotel in downtown Puno, wrapping up the tour at approximately 3:00 p.m., leaving you with unforgettable memories of Lake Titicaca and the Uros culture.
