I got the menu of the day It came with delicious veg soup The main was really good And also received a lemonade and a small desert ( which personally I didn’t like) Cost 17 pen so big worth for the money , definitely a must try.
Nothing special. I had better cuy at other places. It was oerfried and almost no meat. No salad aside. For the price of 40 soles I would expect at least a bit of salad also. Too many people, very noisy.
Very good ratio quality / price. I went for lunch, and for only 18 SOL, Ingot a soup, a main meal and a little dessert. I arrived early so there were not so many people, but by the time I left, the place was full. No wonder! They also have the nice artisanal beers, not just the commercial ones.
I have been to El Fogón twice and each I give it top ratings. I had pollo milanesa at lunch and pollo a la barbacoa at supper. Both were totally delicious. The french fries were some of the best that I've had in Perú. I'm actually sad to see the overall rating by all reviews because it nowhere reflects my experiences. The wait staff were attentive and took care of our requests very well. The restaurant is attractive inside. I have been to the popular "gringo" restaurants and found El Fogón to have superior food. I truly want to go back and try more of their offerings. I recommend El Fogón to other travelers who want excellent fare for a reasonable price.
