Description

Day 1 – Into the Jungle

Pickup from the airport or your hotel in Leticia. Leave bulky luggage at the office and visit the town market. Then enjoy a 2-hour boat cruise on the Amazon River to Puerto Nariño. Transfer through the village to the base camp, where you'll prepare your equipment. You'll have a typical Amazonian meal before a 3-hour forest hike with a bilingual guide to observe wildlife and nature.

In the evening, settle into your private cabin with shower, kitchen, candle lighting, and solar lamps. Enjoy a traditional Amazonian dinner followed by a 1-hour night walk with a local expert to observe tarantulas, frogs, and phosphorescent mushrooms.

Day 2 – River & Wildlife Exploration

Start with breakfast at 8:00 a.m., including bread, ham, cheese, eggs, cake, coffee, and fruit juice. Take a 2-hour morning hike in the jungle guided by a bilingual local. Return to the base for shower, laundry, and rest. Lunch options include fish, chicken, omelets, or vegetarian food.

From 2:00 p.m., depart by boat to observe pink dolphins, tucuxi, eagles, kingfishers, and other river species. Arrive at a lakeside village by 4:00 p.m., check into your cabin, and explore the surroundings on foot. At 5:00 p.m., enjoy a canoe excursion with a Spanish-speaking guide, featuring a sunset over the lake, caiman spotting, and stargazing until 7:00 p.m. Overnight in a lakeside cabin with Amazonian dinner.

Day 3 – Cross-Border Nature Reserve

After breakfast at 8:00 a.m., take a canoe trip into the Peruvian nature reserve with a native guide and translator. Observe sloths, monkeys, tropical birds, and possibly capybaras or iguanas. Return to base for lunch and prepare for departure. Return by boat to Leticia in the afternoon, arriving at 5:30 p.m. Collect your luggage and get dropped off at your hotel or airport.
