Huayhuash Range

The trail (180 km) begins and ends in Chiquián. Over 12 days, the trail travels along the north side of one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world, passing onto its eastern slopes and ending on the west side.

Snowy Ampay (Snow-capped peak)

Nevado Ampay (5,235 m.a.s.l. - 17,175 f.a.s.l.) can be accessed from Abancay city. The recommended trail starts in Arcopunco, 2 km (1.2 miles) from the city, and continues towards the Sahuanay reservoir and ecological station, from which the climb can be started in the Intimpa Forests at the Ampay National Sanctuary.

Volcanic Range

A range of peaks and volcanoes that stretches for over 50 km around Arequipa city. The most climbed summits are Misti (5,825 meters), Chachani (6,075 meters) and Pichu-Pichu (5,664 meters).

Inti Raymi

Inti Raymi, which when translated from Quechua means "Fiesta del Sol" (Sun Festival) is one of the most important festivals of the imperial city of Cusco. This marvelous spectacle which takes place on the Sacsayhuaman esplanade is celebrated every June 24th and is meant to pay homage to the Sun god, a supreme symbol of worship in Inca culture.

Hang-gliding and paragliding - Alley of Huaylas

The Callejón de Huaylas, and the cities of Huaraz and Carhauz in particular, contains various areas from which to start a hang-gliding and paragliding flight. But the most well-known spot is the Yungay Pan de Azucar (Sugar Loaf) mountain.

Kayak - Lake Titicaca

Rafting - Arequipa: Colca and Cotahuasi Rivers

Colca River is famous for its 300 rapids and for extending along one of the deepest canyons on the planet. The most world-famous route starts in Chivay and enters the Cabanconde and Tapay areas, over approximately 40 km (25 miles).

Taraco Heights and Tinajani Canyon Route
