Description
Skip the restaurant-style cooking class. In Arequipa, Uchu Cooking hosts you on the rooftop of a local guesthouse, in a group capped at 6 people — with a Peruvian chef leading the class in English, or a local home cook leading it in Spanish.
Over 3 hours, you'll cook three Peruvian classics from scratch: a bright, citrusy ceviche; a sizzling lomo saltado straight from the wok; and a proper pisco sour to close the session. Every ingredient is bought fresh the same day, so what you cook reflects what's actually in season in Arequipa's markets.
This is a hands-on class, not a demo. Each participant works their own station, learns the techniques behind each dish, and sits down to eat everything they prepared. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free adaptations are made on request at no extra cost — just tell us in advance at booking.
