Description
Discover Cusco on an experience that combines history, archeology, Andean culture, and nature. We'll start the tour by visiting the Qorikancha, one of the most important temples of Inca Cusco, where you'll learn about the importance of this place during the Inca Empire and how it changed with the arrival of the Spaniards.
We'll continue on to Sacsayhuamán, an impressive archaeological complex known for its huge stone blocks and extraordinary architecture. We'll then visit Qenqo, an ancient ceremonial center surrounded by rock formations, where we'll learn about some of the practices and beliefs of Incan culture.
The tour continues with a visit to the Qenqo Forest, where you can walk among natural formations and enjoy a different environment, surrounded by trees and Andean landscapes. This stop lets you discover a quieter and more natural side of the archaeological site.
We will then visit an Andean Textile Center, where you will learn about the textile traditions of the local communities. You'll see how the fibers, natural colors, and traditional designs are worked, and you'll also learn about the cultural significance of these textiles in the Andes.
Finally, we'll visit Puka Pukara, an ancient Inca structure associated with the control and surveillance of roads, and Tambomachay, known for its Inca-era fountains and water channels. Throughout the tour, a guide will accompany you with explanations about the history, architecture, and traditions that make Cusco a unique destination.
At the end of the visits, we'll return to the city of Cusco to conclude this cultural and archaeological experience.
