Description
Step directly into the heart of Peruvian culture. Your culinary journey begins just four blocks from Arequipa’s Main Square at the historic Casa de Ávila Hotel. Here, you will be welcomed into a beautiful, open-air kitchen nestled within a peaceful garden courtyard—a hidden oasis where nature companions your cooking.
Guided by a warm, bilingual host, you’ll don your chef's gear and dive into a 100% hands-on experience. You won't just follow a recipe; you will discover the stories and cross-cultural history behind Peru’s most iconic dishes: the delicate, layered Causa and the vibrant, sizzling Lomo Saltado. Master local techniques, chop fresh ingredients, and learn how to adapt these flavors back home using easy ingredient substitutions.
After styling your culinary creations for that perfect photo-worthy memory, gather with your small group around the table to enjoy the delicious meal you prepared yourself.
