Description
Discover the archaeological heritage and natural landscapes of Chachapoyas with this 2-day program that combines a visit to the Kuélap Archaeological Complex with an excursion to the Sonche River Canyon and the city's vantage points. Day 1 – Huancas and Sonche Canyon Take an approximately 2-hour and 30-minute excursion to the district of Huancas. On the way, you'll stop at the Luya Urco Vantage Point, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Chachapoyas. Upon arrival in Huancas, you'll learn about part of the local craft tradition through its typical ceramics. Then you'll continue to the Sonche River Canyon and the Huanca Urco Vantage Point, where you can admire the landscape and take photos of this stunning natural environment before returning to Chachapoyas. Day 2 – Kuélap Travel from Chachapoyas to the district of Nuevo Tingo and take the cable car to the La Malca rest stop. From there, you'll take an approximately 30-minute hike to the Kuélap Archaeological Complex, one of the main vestiges of the Chachapoyas culture. During the guided visit, you'll explore the interior of the complex for approximately 45 minutes and learn about its main structures and architectural features. Afterwards, you'll head back to Nuevo Tingo to enjoy a typical lunch before returning to Chachapoyas.Includes
