Discover the history of the ancient capital of the Inca Empire on this spiritual guided sightseeing tour of Cusco. Visit the entire cathedral complex: The complex includes three churches: the Cathedral (in the center), the Church of the Triumph (to one side, 1539), and the Church of the Holy Family, then the Temple of the Sun, Qorikancha, and explore some of the most important archaeological sites around the city.
During the tour, you'll see impressive Inca buildings, ceremonial centers, and sacred sites that showcase the grandeur of this civilization. The sightseeing tour combines history, culture, and spectacular landscapes around Cusco.
ITINERARY:
This sightseeing tour starts with pickup at the meeting point, which is Cusco's Main Square, and you can choose between two time slots:
First Tour: 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Second Shift: 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm
The tour begins in the historic center of Cusco with a visit to the cathedral, where you'll take part in a spiritual ritual, and to the Qorikancha Sun Temple, one of the most important temples of the Inca Empire.
You will then head to the outskirts of the city to explore the famous nearby archaeological sites:
. Sacsayhuamán, an impressive fortress with huge stone walls.
. Qenqo, an ancient ceremonial center used for Inca rituals.
. Puka Pukara, an ancient strategic military fortress.
. Tambomachay, known for its water fountains and its ceremonial significance.
At the end of the tour, you'll head back to downtown Cusco.
