Description
3:00 a.m. Pick-up by the tourist transport center from hotels in downtown Arequipa or from Plaza de Armas in Arequipa to begin our tour to Colca Canyon (approximately 3 hours travel time).
Approx. 6:30 AM We will have breakfast at a downtown restaurant, then continue to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint, where we will spend about an hour observing the spectacular flight of the condor and the depth of the Colca Canyon. On our way back, we will make stops at various viewpoints, such as Choquetico, Antahuilque, and Tumbas y Maquetas, exploring the districts of Yanque, Pinchollo, and Achoma. We will receive information from our guide and enjoy the views.
We will arrive in Yanque and head to the Chacapi Thermal Baths, which are natural pools in harmony with the environment. Afterward, we will enjoy a buffet lunch. We will then return to Arequipa, making a stop on the way at the Patapampa Andes Viewpoint (elevation 4,910 m / 16,109 ft), where we will observe the volcanic chain, mountain ranges, and snow-capped peaks. We will also see various types of wildlife, such as vizcachas, migratory birds, and vicuñas, in Pampa Cañahuas, a National Reserve.
Approx. 5:30 PM: We will arrive in Arequipa.
