Experience the magic of the Nazca Lines on an unforgettable cultural and historical experience, departing directly from Ica.
We'll start this adventure with a pick-up from your accommodation in Ica or Huacachina early in the morning. On board our tour vehicle, we'll begin our journey south along the Pan-American Highway, heading for Nazca.
On the way, we'll make a special stop in the city of Palpa, where you can see some of the ancient geoglyphs found in this area from natural vantage points. Many of them are lesser known, but equally amazing. Here you'll have the opportunity to appreciate figures drawn on the sand that have withstood the passage of time.
Continuing the tour, we'll arrive at the Nazca Metal Vantage Point, a raised structure that will allow you to observe up to 3 different figures from above, including the Tree, the Hands, and the Lizard. Unlike the flight over, this ground-based option lets you see the lines at your own pace, with detailed explanations from the tour guide about their history, symbolism, and theories surrounding their origin.
We'll then head to the Casa-Mirador María Reiche Museum, the former residence of the German scientist who dedicated her life to the study of the Nazca Lines. There you'll learn more about her research, her legacy, and the passion that led her to protect one of Peru's most mysterious heritage sites.
After this enriching tour, we'll begin the drop-off to Ica, arriving in the afternoon with our hearts and minds full of history, mystery, and wonder.
