Description

Start with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco and travel by bus for approximately 1.5 hours, enjoying unique Andean scenery along the way. Take an alternative road leading to the traditional community of Taucca. Upon arrival at 3,875 meters above sea level, be welcomed with ancestral Andean music, played on traditional instruments such as the quena and drum. Alpacas and llamas will accompany you throughout the cultural experience. Spend time with local families, learning about their daily life, customs, and traditions. Observe their agricultural activities and traditional handicraft techniques, and enjoy the opportunity to take photos with the animals and locals dressed in traditional Andean clothing. Later, enjoy a traditional picnic prepared by the women of the community. Depending on the season, the meal may include watia (traditional Andean earth-baked potatoes), boiled potatoes with local cheese, fresh fruit, herbal tea, coffee, or traditional refreshments. At the end of the experience, the community will bid farewell with traditional Andean music, leaving you with lasting memories of their warmth, hospitality, and the powerful energy of the Andes. Afterwards, return by bus to the city of Cusco.
