Description
Embark on a full-day tour of the Sacred Valley, starting with a hotel pick-up in Cusco. Admire the breathtaking views of the mountains as you journey towards the Sacred Valley. Visit the Mirador de Taray (optional according the time) , the ancient Inca site of Pisac, and the town of Ollantaytambo.
Begin your adventure with a scenic 45-minute bus ride through the mountains. Stop at the Mirador de Taray, a breathtaking viewpoint where you can capture stunning panoramic photos of the valley below. Take your time to soak in the beauty for 10 minutes before continuing your tour.
Next, head to the ancient Inca site of Pisac. Along the way, witness awe-inspiring temples, residences, altars, intricate channels, carvings, and even tunnels, the largest known Inca cemetery, boasting over 2,000 tombs.
After visiting the Pisaq Market by bus, drive for about an hour to Urubamba for lunch. Then, take a short drive to Ollantaytambo, an important Inca town surrounded by sacred mountains. Ollantaytambo served as a strategic military center, agricultural hub, and religious center.
The Sun Temple, perched on a hilltop, showcases impressive architecture, carvings, farming terraces, and interconnected stone steps. Notably, this site is one of the few places where the Spanish lost a battle during the conquest.
Finally we will drop-off you in Ollantaytambo train station or Main Square around 3:00 pm.
