Description

Begin your day with early pickup from your accommodation in Cusco. Travel through the scenic Andes to Cusipata, where you will enjoy breakfast before continuing to the trailhead. As you approach the Ausangate region, admire traditional villages, herds of llamas and alpacas, and dramatic mountain landscapes. Begin your hike at approximately 4,630 meters above sea level. Your guide will set a steady and manageable pace, allowing time for rest and photos along the way. Because the group is small, you will receive personalized attention and support throughout the ascent. Trekking poles are included, and oxygen is available if needed. After approximately two hours of hiking, reach the stunning Rainbow Mountain (5,034 meters). Take time to appreciate the vibrant mineral colors and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Continue to the impressive Red Valley, known for its striking red-toned landscapes and fewer crowds. After exploring and taking photos, descend at a comfortable pace to the starting point. Return to Cusipata for lunch before traveling back to Cusco, arriving in the late afternoon.
