Description
Travel in comfort from Cusco to Puno on a modern overnight sleeper coach that departs at approximately 10:00 PM. On the way, you can rest as you travel through the breathtaking Andean landscapes of southern Peru. Arrival in Puno is scheduled for approximately 5:00 AM.
Upon your arrival, our staff will pick you up and take you to a comfortable and cozy accommodation, where you can relax, use the facilities, and enjoy breakfast before the start of the excursion. Afterwards, starting at 7:15 AM, we will begin pick-ups to head to the cruise port of Puno and board a speedboat bound for the majestic Lake Titicaca (7:45 AM).
The first visit will be to the fascinating Uros Islands for 1.5 hours. These are famous for their floating islands built with totora reeds and for preserving ancient ancestral traditions. There, you'll learn about the way of life of its inhabitants and be able to take incredible pictures of the lake.
We will then continue to Taquile Island, renowned for its spectacular landscapes, its Andean culture, and its traditional textiles, which have been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. During the visit, you will walk along trails with panoramic views of the lake and share experiences with the local community. You will enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant for approximately 3 hours before returning to Puno.
