Description
Get ready for a different way to explore the Sacred Valley. This experience combines an ATV ride with visits to two of the best-known places around Cusco: the impressive Inca terraces of Moray and the famous Maras Salt Mines.

You can choose between two schedules:
6:30 AM or 12:50 PM
Both options follow the same main itinerary.
From Cusco to the ATV Base
We will pick you up in Cusco and take you by tourist transportation to the ATV starting point. The drive takes you away from the city and into the mountain landscapes around the Sacred Valley.
When you arrive, your guide will explain how to use the ATV and go over the basic safety instructions. If it is your first time riding a quad bike, you will have some time to practice before starting the route.
ATV Ride to Moray
Once everyone is ready, it is time to get on the ATV.
Follow your guide along the mountain roads towards Moray, enjoying the views along the way. You will ride through an area surrounded by mountains, farmland and small rural communities.
The ATV ride is one of the main parts of the experience, so there is no need to rush. Take in the scenery, enjoy the ride and follow your guide's instructions.
Moray
At Moray, leave the ATV for a while and explore this remarkable archaeological site.
The large circular terraces built into the ground are one of the most unusual examples of Inca engineering in the Cusco region. Your guide will tell you about the site and its possible connection with agriculture during the Inca period.
You will also have time to walk around, enjoy the views and take photographs.
After the visit, return to the ATV base and continue by tourist transportation to the next stop.
Maras Salt Mines
The next stop is the Maras Salt Mines, a completely different landscape from Moray.
Thousands of small salt pools spread across the mountainside, fed by a natural salty spring. Local families have collected salt here for generations, using traditional methods that are still part of life in the area.
Take your time to enjoy the view, walk around the designated area and take some photos before continuing the journey.
Back to Cusco
After visiting the Maras Salt Mines, we will begin the return trip to Cusco.
By the end of the day, you will have experienced three very different sides of the region: riding an ATV through the mountains, discovering the history of Moray and seeing the traditional salt pools of Maras.
Good to know
No previous ATV experience is necessary. You will receive instructions and have time to practice before the ride.
Wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes, and bring sunscreen, water and a light jacket. Mountain weather can change during the day, so it is best to be prepared.
