Description
Escape Lima for three unforgettable days exploring the natural and cultural treasures of Peru’s Pacific coast. This private guided adventure allows you to travel at your own pace while discovering iconic sites and hidden gems along the way.
Day 1: Lima – Pachacamac – Paracas National Reserve
After an early pickup from your hotel, head south along the Pan-American Highway toward Paracas. Your first stop is Pachacamac, an impressive pre-Columbian archaeological site dedicated to the Creator God. Walk through ancient temples and pyramids as your guide explains how different civilizations shaped early Peruvian life.
Continue to Paracas, where you’ll explore the vibrant landscapes of the Paracas National Reserve. Visit breathtaking viewpoints like Playa Roja and Lagunillas before settling into your charming seaside hotel for the night.
Overnight in Paracas (Refugio del Pirata or similar)
Day 2: Ballestas Islands – Ica – Huacachina – Nasca
Begin the day with a scenic boat tour to the Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions, penguins, and a wide variety of seabirds. Known as the “Galápagos of Peru,” this area offers incredible wildlife and ocean views.
After returning to the mainland, travel to Ica for a regional lunch (optional) and a fun pisco tasting at a local bodega. Then, visit the magical oasis of Huacachina, where golden dunes surround a palm-fringed lagoon. Here you can enjoy an adrenaline-filled dune buggy and sandboarding experience before continuing south to Nasca.
Overnight in Nasca (DM Nasca Hotel or similar)
Day 3: Nasca Lines Flight – Chauchilla Cemetery – Return to Lima
Start early with a scenic flight over the mysterious Nasca Lines — enormous ancient geoglyphs carved into the desert that can only be appreciated from the air. Then, delve deeper into Nasca’s pre-Inca past with a visit to the Chauchilla Cemetery, where remarkably preserved mummies and artifacts tell stories of a lost civilization.
In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing drive back to Lima through the coastal desert landscapes, arriving in the evening.
