Full-Day Trip on the Puno to Cusco Route with Guided Tours and Buffet Lunch
ITINERARY:
Your experience will begin with check-in at the Jirón Primero de Mayo Bus Terminal, number 703, Avalos Tours Counter 705, where you will register to board the bus and embark on this great adventure en route to Cusco.
We will travel from Puno to Cusco. Our first stop will be the town of Pukara, which means 'fortress.' You will be able to visit the museum and learn about this wonderful pre-Inca town, and you will have time to grab a coffee if you wish.
You will continue your journey to reach the Raya (a dividing line) at an elevation of 4,335.00 meters above sea level, which marks the departmental boundary between Puno and Cusco. There, you will be able to see and photograph the snow-capped Mount Chimboya (5,300.00 meters above sea level). Afterward, you will continue your journey to the town of Sicuani for a buffet lunch and a taste of Peruvian cuisine. You will have 1 hour for lunch. After refueling, you will continue your journey to Raqchi, an archaeological complex dedicated to the god Wiracocha, where you will be able to explore the immense Inca granaries, dwellings, and the artificial lagoon.
Continuing the journey, you will arrive in the town of Andahuaylillas to visit its colonial church, known as San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, and admire its beautiful colonial gilded canvases (photography is not permitted in this church), so you will carry the appreciation of the beauty of this place in your mind and in the memory of having visited it.
Finally, we will arrive in the Imperial City of Cusco (Bus Terminal) between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM (the Avalos Tours – Cusco terminal service).
