From Cusco: Tour to Lake Humantay with a buffet meal

Description

After picking you up at your hotel in Cusco at the scheduled time, we’ll head by bus to Lake Humantay, located in the heart of the Andes mountain range. After a two-and-a-half-hour drive, we’ll make our first stop of the tour in the village of Mollepata, located at an altitude of nearly 3,000 meters. There, we’ll enjoy an energizing breakfast. Later, we’ll continue traveling through the spectacular landscapes of this Peruvian region for an hour and a half until we reach the Soraypampa campsite, at an altitude of 3,900 meters. It is here that we’ll begin the hike to Lake Humantay, a turquoise lake surrounded by majestic glaciers. During the hike, which takes about two hours, we’ll ascend to 4,200 meters and marvel at the local flora and fauna. The effort will be well worth it, because once we reach the lagoon, you’ll be able to admire a truly unique landscape. After exploring this natural setting, we’ll return to Soraypampa to board the bus again. We’ll stop once more in Mollepata to recharge and satisfy our appetites with a buffet lunch. After lunch, we’ll head back to Cusco. Finally, we’ll drop you off at Plaza Regocijo at approximately 6:00 p.m. See less
