Description

Day 1: Uros and Amantaní Begin your adventure with a transfer from your hotel or the bus terminal in Puno. Head to the port and set sail for the Uros Islands, a group of approximately 100 floating islands made of totora reeds. Visit two of these islands to learn about the history and ancestral way of life of this indigenous people. Continue your journey to Amantaní Island, where you will be welcomed by a local family and enjoy a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, take a 40-minute uphill hike to the pre-Incan archaeological site of Pachatata. Learn about local customs from your guide and watch the sunset before returning to the family's home for dinner. In the evening, participate in a community celebration and dress in the island's traditional clothing. Day 2: Amantaní, Taquile, and Puno After breakfast, leave Amantaní and head to Taquile Island. Upon arrival, take a 60-minute walk to the main square, where you can enjoy traditional dances and admire the island's exquisite textiles. Enjoy a typical lunch before departing from Taquile's port and returning to Puno.
