Description

Between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel or Airbnb. 9:00 AM We will arrive in the Paracas district for breakfast. Then, we will walk to the Paracas pier to go through the SERNAMP checkpoint and wait for the order to board the boat bound for the Ballestas Islands. Once on board the hydrofoils, we will explore the wonderful marine world for an average of two hours. We will begin by stopping at the sand formation known as “El Candelabro” (The Candelabra), where our guide will explain the various theories about its purpose. We will continue sailing, with the refreshing sea breeze blowing over us, until we reach the islands and are surrounded by the abundant marine life. Sea lions, Humboldt penguins, countless guano birds, and, hopefully, a curious dolphin or two await us. You won’t want to put your camera away! We will then return to the restaurant where we had breakfast, as we will receive a short lesson on how to prepare a good ceviche, in addition to tasting this exquisite dish. We will board our vehicle and head for the city of Ica on a 1-hour journey until we reach the turnoff for Hacienda Tacama. There, we will disembark from our vehicle and board a private vehicle that will take us to the vineyard. Once inside, we will take the traditional tour, which includes a video presentation that tells the history of the hacienda and explains the processes used to produce its wines. Next, you will tour the classic winery, see its modern production facility, and learn about the process of making its wines and piscos. Time for lunch. Then, we continue on to our final stop: the Huacachina Oasis. Here, we will join the group we left Lima with and board the dune buggies that will take us up and down the endless dunes of Ica. We will also glide down the desert on sandboards from the highest point. After this adrenaline-pumping experience, we will board our vehicle for the return trip to Lima. 5:00 PM After an exciting day, we will begin our return trip to Lima. En route, we will make a stop to use the restroom, stretch our legs, and do some final shopping. 11:00 PM Estimated arrival at the original departure point.

• ● The tubing service is not suitable for: children under 5 years old; people with heart conditions, nervous disorders, or high blood pressure; pregnant women; people with knee or spine problems, etc.; and anyone with any ailment or condition that could be adversely affected by the rapid and abrupt movements that tubers may make during the ride. If a person rides the tubulars in disregard of these recommendations, they do so at their own risk. ● With this new service, passengers must strictly adhere to the schedule, especially during their tour of Viña Tacama, so that they can connect with the services in Huacachina and for the return trip to Lima. If a passenger does not comply with these stipulations and misses the group, they will be required to pay additional costs for their return, such as the purchase of a ticket with Peru Bus or Cruz del Sur, plus transportation to their hotel or initial pick-up point in Lima.
