Description
Our tour starts at 5:45 am, picking you up from your hotel in the downtown area and then heading to the volcano viewpoint, where you'll see the 3 guardian volcanoes of Arequipa. We'll then continue our journey to the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, at an altitude of 4,000 meters, where you'll appreciate the landscape of the great salt flats and the town of Moche, home to 3 types of flamingos (the Andean, Chilean, and James) and a large number of Andean camelids, Llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas make the place spectacular and imposing. You'll have the option to walk inside the reserve area to explore the nature and the very typical high Andean landscape. Depending on the season you come, you'll find water mirrors in the months of January, February, and March, and a lot of salt in the months of June to December, where perspective plays with nature.
We'll be back in the city by 1:30 pm, ending near the main square.
