DETAILED ITINERARY:
DAY 01:
7:30 AM to 8:00 AM - Pick-up from city center hotels in Arequipa.
8:00 AM - We begin our journey to one of the deepest and most beautiful canyons in the world. Our base will be the town of Chivay, which we will reach in approximately 4 hours, including all the tourist stops. Our first stop will be Pampa Cañahuas, where we can see the vicuñas that inhabit this area. After that, we'll visit nearby Patahuasi to drink the traditional coca mate, a traditional drink that's essential for altitude sickness (soroche). Then we'll also make a short stop at the Bofedales de Toccra, where we'll see a large number of alpacas grazing freely in the area. A mandatory stop at Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point of the route at 4,800 meters above sea level, from where we will see a large part of the western mountain range. From this point, it would only be 40 minutes to reach the town of Chivay.
12:30 pm - We will arrive in Chivay to enjoy a delicious lunch (at the customer's expense). After lunch, we will check in to our respective hotels. During the afternoon, we can enjoy a relaxing bath in the Thermal Waters (optional admission, at the customer's expense), whose medicinal thermal waters range from 35°C to 38°C in the pools.
For dinner (at the customer's expense), we can enjoy a folk show with typical dances from the area.

DAY 02:
Breakfast. After breakfast, we will travel to the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor, which is 1 hour away. It is the vantage point for the Colca Canyon and the spectacular flight of the Condor. We will spend an average of 45 minutes at this spot to take in the beauty of the Colca Canyon.
On the way back, we will stop at the vantage points in the area from where we will see the impressive Andean mountain range of the valley and in the village of Maca, where we will see its church and have the option to taste local drinks such as Colca Sour, made from local products.
1:00 PM – We begin our journey towards the city of Puno, where we will make 2 stops along the way. We will stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, which is also the highest point on the route (4,800 meters above sea level), from where we will see a large part of the western mountain range. Our last stop will be the Lagunillas Vantage Point, where we can see the lagoon in all its splendor.
7:30 PM – Arrival in the city of Puno; we will drop you off near Plaza de Armas.
