Description
Begin your adventure early in the morning with a quick pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Travel in a small group to avoid the lengthy pickup routes of large buses, allowing you to leave the city efficiently.
Stop in the town of Mollepata, where you will enjoy an energizing breakfast tailored for trekking. Then, continue your journey in climate-controlled transport to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike.
Before starting the ascent, your certified guide (who is also trained in landscape and portrait photography) will provide you with professional trekking poles and share the best recommendations for the route. During the 1.5 to 2-hour hike, make strategic stops at key viewpoints where your guide will capture your first professional photos with the towering snow-capped peaks in the background.
Upon reaching the summit and discovering the breathtaking Humantay Lake, gather for the Kintu, a brief and respectful Andean ritual using coca leaves to thank the Apus (sacred mountains) and Pachamama (Mother Earth). This is optional and in private tour.
After the ceremony, enjoy free time to explore and relax while your guide conducts a personalized photo session for you or your group, finding the best angles, light, and turquoise water reflections.
Finally, descend to Soraypampa to board your transport back to Mollepata, where you will celebrate the day with a comforting buffet lunch featuring local and vegetarian options. Return to Cusco around 6:00 PM, and receive the download link for your edited photos via email or WhatsApp within 24 hours.
