Stop for breakfast before continuing to Phulawasipata, the starting point of the hike. Before setting out, your guide will give you a brief overview of the route and some tips for the hike. Begin your hike at the foot of the imposing Ausangate mountain range, with an ascent of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach the summit of Rainbow Mountain. Along the way, admire the Andean landscape and, with a little luck, spot llamas, alpacas, and other camelids typical of the region. Upon reaching the famous reddish-hued hill, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of this unique landscape.
